Netflix has released a trailer for the anticipated drama, Monster starring The High Note star, Kelvin Harrison Jr (Steve Harmon). His character appears in different scenes as a young man with a great head on his shoulders to abruptly being charged with felony murder. In the short glimpses, Steve asks “What do you see when you look at me?”

The legal drama film is an adaptation of Walter Dean Myers’ 1999 young adult award-winning novel. Throughout the movie, viewers should expect to watch Harmon’s character transform from being a smart, well-liked high school student with big dreams of becoming a filmmaker to a young boy in juvenile prison. Additionally, the story will revolve around the legal battle that can leave him spending the rest of his life in prison.

The film first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and will make its official global debut on Netflix this May. The cast will be starring well-known celebrities such as Jennifer Hudson (Mrs. Harmon), Nasir “Nas” Jones ( Raymond), and A$AP Rocky (William King).

Moreover, the film is directed by Anthony Mandler. John Legend, Nasir “Nas” Jones, and Jeffrey Wright will be credited as executive producers.
