TXT Performs ‘We Lost the Summer’ on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Tomorrow X Together, more commonly known as TXT, made an exciting appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform their track “We Lost The Summer.” The episode aired Friday, April 16, and the band’s performance is available to watch on ellentube.
“We Lost The Summer” is the third track off the boy group’s album Minisode1: Blue Hour, which was released in October 2020. The song was made by a group of talented songwriters, including British pop artist Charli XCX. It explores the theme of understanding your feelings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The boys’ performance of the song was introduced by Tiffany Haddish, who was acting as the guest host on the show.

The performance was pre-recorded and filmed from a secondary location. They created a colorful set that recreated a school-classroom, hallway, and cafeteria. The five band members appeared in coordinated black-and-white outfits. They showed off their amazing vocals and dance moves as they performed the song.
Fans are loving the performance so much that they took to Twitter. #TXTonTheEllenShow, gathered over 70,000 tweets using that hashtag and was quickly trending.

Accompanying the performance is a four-minute-long behind-the-scenes video that the band filmed exclusively for The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s YouTube. The video includes an introduction of the band members promoting their performance. It also shows behind-the-scenes footage of them filming the performance. The group took the time to explain the meaning behind the song and share their favorite parts as well.
