Justin Bieber’s Summer Tour Postponed (Again) Until 2022
Justin Bieber’s tour that was scheduled to begin June 2 through the end of summer has been postponed until 2022, stated Variety. The tour was set to begin in San Diego, California, and travel throughout the US and Canada. At this time every show on the tour website now reads “rescheduled date,” but tickets are continuing to sell.

This isn’t the first time Bieber had to postpone his tour due to COVID-19. Originally scheduled for July 2020, every date was pushed back to May, June, July, and August of this year. By winter of 2021, Bieber’s team had to remove all dates scheduled in May and settled with a June 2 opening. Once again, the tour is being pushed back, only this time until 2022.
”Looking forward to seeing you all when it is safe,” Bieber stated on Instagram in 2020.
After a long year of canceled concerts and delayed show openings, fans were skeptical that Bieber’s tour would go on. Following the initial postponement last year, supporting acts Kehlani and Jaden Smith both dropped out of their appearances. With the starting show only a month away, there has been little news about its current standing from Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun.

Tickets for canceled shows are continuing to be automatically refunded, according to the tour website. Since last year, Bieber has been working on redesigning his tour production and route of 45 concerts. Just this week, the singer showcased his state-of-the-art tour bus on social media and gave fans hope that the shows would go on as planned. But this recent announcement says otherwise.
The untitled tour was meant to take place within the time frame of Bieber’s recent chart-topping albums. His 2020 album Changes, gave us pandemic hits like “Yummy” and “Intentions.” His most recent album Justice ranked No. 1 for six weeks after its release in March 2021.

From his Justice album, “Peaches” (featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon) has been among the top five songs on Spotify for the last six weeks. Also featured on Justice are the more intimate, sentimental tracks “Holy” and “Lonely.” So when 2022 does roll around, Bieber will have ample material for a show-stopping setlist.

Despite this disappointing news, fans remain optimistic for next year’s tour start. After 11 years in the pop scene and six successful albums later, a few postponed start dates and even a pandemic cannot stop Bieber’s loyal fans from seeing him.
