Lil Nas X will make his SNL debut by performing his newest hit “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The song put him on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart upon its March release. The 22-year-old singer also announced on Twitter that he will debut a new song on the finale episode.

Much like Lil Nas X, Taylor-Joy’s hosting gig follows a whirlwind of success. The actress won her first Golden Globe award and SAG award for her portrayal of chess-wiz Beth Harmon in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit. After such a serious role, fans are eager to see her in a more comedic setting.

It appears SNL is keeping a theme of freshman talent this month because, in the same Twitter announcement, the late-night comedy show revealed Keegan-Michael Key and Olivia Rodrigo as the guests for the May 15 episode. Key is a well-established comedian known for co-creating and co-starring in Key & Peele, but this will be his first time on the late-night comedy show.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo made a name for herself on the SNL stage back in February. Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page and SNL cast Pete Davidson, Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day, Beck Bennett, Alex Moffat, and Bowen Yang did a skit about her hit song “drivers license.” Our fingers are crossed for a reprise of the hilarious sketch while Rodrigo is on the show.

Following the viral skit, Rodrigo released her newest hit, “deja vu,” and plans to release SOUR, her debut album, on May 21, following her debut SNL performance.

Tune in to NBC’s Saturday Night Live on May 15 to watch Keegan-Michael Key and Olivia Rodrigo and May 22 to see Anya Taylor-Joy and Lil Nas X.
