AMC’s New Thriller ‘The Beast Must Die’ Will Premiere This July

The new revenge thriller series, The Beast Must Die, will premiere on AMC+ on July 5 and on the cable AMC channel July 12 at 10:00 PM. It stars Jared Harris, Billy Howle, and Cush Jumbo OBE.

The six-part series follows Frances Cairnes (Jumbo) who poses as a novelist to hunt down George Rattery (Harris), who she thinks is responsible for the hit and run of her six-year-old son, Martie. Detective Nigel Strangeways (Howle) seeks justice for Martie after the original investigation of his death had been dropped. He battles between the knowledge that Frances is working undercover while living with George’s family, and the determination to prove George’s guilt.

In the first episode of the series, Frances begins searching for who killed Martie. Dr. Strangeways suffers from PTSD after the death of his colleague and is hoping for a new beginning. In the second episode, which will premiere July 12 on AMC+ and July 19 at 10:00 P.M ET/PT on AMC, Frances begins plotting her revenge and getting closer to George, her suspect.

Cush Jumbo OBE put out a heartfelt Instagram post after the show finished filming and wrote, “‘It was a long journey’ @domekarukoski you are one of the greats ❤️ The crew behind this show were so hard working & creative, I couldn’t have been bubbled on @theisleofwight with a better bunch!”

Billy Howle shared a first look at the series on his Instagram. He wrote that he “Had a blast making this show.” Howle praised the brilliance of director Dome Karukoski.
