The actor-comedian will be playing the role of a single father taking on the challenges of parenthood after the death of his wife, while trying to raise his daughter. The film’s release date is in celebration of Father’s Day.

Hart is always finding new ways to promote his new work and this time is no different. The actor released a movie advertisement poster on his Instagram page announcing the upcoming film and its release date with the caption, “Mark your calendars people “Fatherhood” drops on @netflix June 18th …..Let’s gooooooooo #Fatherhood #Netflix”.

The film shows Hart doing his best to be a great father without the support of a wife/mother figure. The trailer opens with a comedic scene of Hart trying to join a parent support group intended for mothers while walking in with his crying newborn daughter. In the trailer, Hart has a line where he mentions that, “The sign says parents. I’m a parent and I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.”

Hart expressed his excitement for the upcoming film’s release and shows gratitude to his director, Paul Weitz, and everyone who helped put the film together. Fans took to the actor’s Instagram page to show their interest and seem ecstatic about watching the film. Celebrities including Chance the Rapper and British comedian, London Hughes, also expressed their support, Hughes commenting “❤️❤️❤️ this looks amazing Kevin!!😢”.
