Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Will Debut in Theatres and on Disney+
On Thursday, May 13, Dwayne Johnson announced that Disney’s newest family adventure film, Jungle Cruise, will premiere on July 30. The 49-year-old actor will take on a leading role in the thrilling and adventurous movie alongside Emily Blunt. Fans will be able to watch Jungle Cruise in theaters or stream it on Disney+ with Premier Access.
In Johnson’s exciting Instagram video announcement, he shared that Jungle Cruise will be available worldwide on July 30. Johnson wrote, “Join my ace Emily Blunt (the female Indiana Jones) and myself on THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME as our DISNEY’s JUNGLE CRUISE hits theaters and your living rooms ON THE SAME DAY – JULY 30th.”
In a press release, Disney stated that Jungle Cruise is an “adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton.” Lily, a character traveling from London, is attempting to uncover an ancient tree with powerful healing abilities. During her journey, Dr. Houghton will join Frank Wolff on adventures down the Amazon on Frank’s charming boat. Disney explained, “But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.”

Aside from Johnson and Blunt, fans can catch other favorites acting in the movie, such as Edgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.
This summer, you can watch Jungle Cruise in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. For current Disney+ subscribers, the Premier Access fee is $29.99 per movie.
