Red Velvet’s Joy Shares Details for Solo Remake Album, ‘Hello’

SM Entertainment’s Joy, who is a part of the k-pop girl group Red Velvet, officially began promotion for her upcoming solo album, Hello. The album is set to be released on May 31 at 6 pm KST (midnight EST) and will consist of six popular covers from the ’90s and early 2000s. Following the announcement of the release on May 12, the singer began to reveal Mood Sampler’s to promote the album, as well as y2k-style teaser photos. Early on Wednesday, May 19, the singer revealed a video snippet of the singer talking along with a promotion schedule for the album.

Following the announcement of the release, the singer began to reveal a mood sampler to promote the album, as well as Y2K-style teaser photos. Early on Wednesday, the singer revealed a video snippet of the singer talking about a promotion schedule for the album.

The first mood sampler for Hello was shared on the girl group’s official Twitter account. The sampler consists of a short 21-second video of the k-pop singer taking out a stick of gum, chewing it, and blowing a bubble while upbeat music plays in the background. This is the first of six mood sampler’s to be released. The schedule shared by the singer on Twitter was displayed in a video form, showcased on a cassette tape. From May 20 to May 31, she plans to share teaser images, track posters, and samplers on social media.

The singer also shared a Y2K-style teaser poster on Twitter, displaying the words “special album” with a collage of photos covered in bubbly, colorful stickers. Pre-order for the album is available now for $24 USD. Hello will be available to stream on major music platforms on May 31.
