Jodie Turner-Smith May Be Joining Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig in Netflix’s ‘White Noise’
Jodie Turner-Smith has been in talks to join Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig in Noah Baumbach’s adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel White Noise. Baumbach will be writing and directing the film for Netflix. Other members on board for this project would include Raffey Cassidy, Sam Nivola, and May Nivola. White Noise will mark Baumbach’s third partnership with Netflix.
Baumbach has already cast Adam Driver in White Noise, who is set to portray Jack, a professor who rose to popularity for his controversial teachings of Hitler studies at a liberal arts college. Jack’s fourth wife Babette will be portrayed by Gerwig, who along with their kids, will navigate through the ups and downs of life. An “airborne toxic event” will put their family dynamic to the test. It remains unknown of the role Turner-Smith will have in the film.

Turner-Smith gained a huge following for her breakout role opposite Daniel Kaluuya in Queen & Slim. The crime-drama film follows Turner-Smith and Kaluuya on the run after their date goes awry. Since that 2019 film role, Turner-Smith also appeared in the action film Without Remorse opposite Michael B. Jordan. Turner-Smith effortlessly played that role while she was pregnant with her daughter. Fans can now follow Turner-Smith in the limited television series Anne Boleyn, which has her starring in the titular role.
#QueenAndSlim is in equal measures, beautiful as it is tragic. A powerful, thought provoking film that shows the butterfly effect of police brutality. Jodie Turner-Smith & Daniel Kaluuya are incredible together. pic.twitter.com/dMMyV3q0nK
