Friends star Courteney Cox joined Ed Sheeran, Brandi Carlile, and Elton John for a rendition of the latter’s hit, “Tiny Dancer” on June 6. They dedicated the performance to Cox’s former co-star Lisa Kudrow.

Per Popsugar, Courteney Cox is once again stepping into the role of Monica Geller after the recent Friends reunion. “Lisa Kudrow, this is for you,” Ed Sheeran said in Cox’s Instagram video. He played the guitar, Cox played the piano, and Elton John and Brandi Carlile joined them in singing “Tiny Dancer.” The performance was inspired by the Friends scene where Lisa Kudrow’s character Phoebe thought the lyrics to the song’s chorus were, “Hold me close, young Tony Danza.”

Lisa Kudrow commented, “Whaaaaaat??? That’s the most exciting thing ever!!!!” She responded to the serenade with an Instagram video, saying “That was the most thrilling thing ever.” She also joked, “Technically it’s ‘Hold me close, YOUNG Tony Danza’. But what you did was great too.”

Actor Tony Danza himself reposted Cox’s video to his Instagram and wrote, “First “the routine”, now this. You’ve made my day once again! I’m honored!” He was referring to the video that Cox shared on May 30, which featured herself and Ed Sheeran recreating the “routine” choreography from Friends that Monica and Ross Geller performed during a New Year’s Eve TV special.

Fans of Courteney Cox showed their support for her iconic videos on Twitter.
