The New York Gazette reads “Lockdowns Lifted, Vaccines Working” as James Corden steps out of his apartment wearing a bathrobe. The Late Late Show host remarks that “There’s life in the streets,” as he sees New Yorkers walking outside and eating at restaurants again. Ariana Grande steps out of the salon and joins his musical celebration after having her hair done, singing, “I’m no longer scared to have it cut.” The two journey through the neighborhoods together, celebrating the end of zoom meetings, going to the gym again, making new plans, and having the vaccine.

Grande showed off her adorable all-yellow outfit and stunning natural makeup for the performance on Instagram. The singer teased, “A very special, heart attack provoking cameo made by a Tony Award-winning friend of mine!”

That cameo was made by Hairspray star Marissa Jaret Winokur, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Tracy Turnblad. She gave Grande an “Air kiss on the cheek,” and the two sang about being able to “Get drunk and get matching tattoos.” Winokur shared a picture with Corden and Grande on Instagram, thanking them “For including me in such a special event.”

Fans on Twitter loved the performance.
