Emilia Clarke has a new role in the upcoming Marvel show, Secret Invasion, which is being hush-hushed. Known for her role as Mother of Dragons and Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones and quirky, cheerful Louisa Clark in Me Before You, Clarke, 34, is terrified of leaking spoilers for the Disney+ series and her role in the show. In a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Clarke confessed her worries about spilling spoilers.

“The first people I spoke to with Marvel after getting the role was their security team,” she recalled. “I actually live in fear that something is going to happen, and I’m going to say something, and they’ll get upset. But, I play a character that I’m super into everything about.”

It appeared that Clarke has learned about spilling the beans from a Marvel superhero. Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, is notorious for spilling the tea about different movies, his most memorable one being Spider-Man: Far From Home. According to Cinema Blend, Holland posted on social media a snippet of the script followed by the movie’s original title, Spider-Man 2. Since then, it’s been difficult to trust Holland with upcoming movies’ deets (details).

Luckily, it seems that Clarke can keep a secret, having been able to for nearly a decade on HBO’s hit show. She did, however, share her excitement about starring in a Marvel series in a past interview with ComicBook.

“I just think what they’re doing right now is so exciting and so cool, and so on the cutting edge of it. I feel like they’re like the Apple of this world. To be part of that family feels like, ‘Oh my God, I’m in the cool kid crowd. That’s so cool.’ Honestly speaking, the people that are making this are what pushed me over the line to really wanting to do it. I just think that everyone’s heart and heads are in the right place with this one.”

Secret Invasion is set to premiere sometime in 2022.
