H.E.R. Delivered An Electrifying Performance at the 2021 BET Awards

H.E.R. celebrated her 24th birthday in style on June 27 as she took the stage to perform "We Made It" at the 2021 BET Awards. The talented singer was nominated for two awards on Sunday night: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for "Hold Us Together." Moments after her show-stopping performance, H.E.R. would win Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.

H.E.R. celebrated her 24th birthday in style on June 27 as she took the stage to perform “We Made It” at the 2021 BET Awards. The talented singer was nominated for two awards on Sunday night: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for “Hold Us Together.” Moments after her show-stopping performance, H.E.R. would win Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.

H.E.R. proved her rock star status as she began on the drums practically flying in the air. She packed on the energy by jumping about on stage, ending with yet another iconic guitar solo. H.E.R performed her hit single “We Made It” off her debut album Back of My Mind. “We Made It” is the first track off of the 21-track album, released on June 18.

H.E.R. took the BET Awards stage wearing an all-white outfit and her signature shades. She also wore her white Fender guitar draped over her clothes. The multi-talented artist proved her skills to the audience as she effortlessly played every instrument during the performance.

So far, H.E.R. has had an impressive 2021, as she won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Fight For You,” which appears in the film Judas and the Black Messiah. There, she paid homage to one of her favorite artists, Prince, and the look he wore at the 1985 Oscars. H.E.R. gave credit to Prince on her social media, as his look from the Oscars had been saved to her phone for a while.
