Upon first listening, the track shows a far more adult side to the vocalist than the discography contained in the first few years of his band’s debut.
guys my two year old cousin just said “starting line by luke hemmings is lyrically and production wise one of the best songs i’ve ever heard, the pure talent possessed by luke hemmings, born 16 july 1996 in australia,is simply unmatched” HE IS SO RIGHT🥺🥺🥺🥺

In the announcement post, Hemmings made on Instagram, the singer describes the project as something “that grew out of a year of enforced stillness,”
”Lyrically and sonically, this album has allowed me to decipher the last 10 years of my life and help me make sense of the person I am today and how I got here,” he continued.
The artist made sure to thank his 5SOS bandmates in the announcement, offering his “endless love” to them to show gratitude for their support in his solo efforts.
Hemmings is not the first of the 5SOS band to branch out from the group to pursue individual passions. In October of 2020, Drummer Ashton Irwin released the album Superbloom.
The album first gained traction with the release of the vulnerable single “Skinny Skinny,” which discusses the singer’s battle with his body image.
Riding the high of their last album release CALM in March 2020, which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s UK charts back in April 2020, the members of 5SOS continue on their musical paths with creative fervor.
