Bella Hadid Wows at the Cannes Film Festival
Bella Hadid is arguably best dressed at this year’s 74th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Hadid looked breathtaking as she attended the screening of Tre Piani (Three Floors). Hadid wore a black long-sleeve dress in wool crepe and a low neckline that cut under Hadid’s chest. She further accessorized with a ruby ring and matching earrings. Hadid also donned a slicked-back high bun. Aside from the stunning dress and other gorgeous accessories, Hadid’s sculptural neckpiece has made audiences’ jaws drop.
Hadid’s neckpiece is a part of the gown from the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2021/22 collection, designed by Daniel Roseberry. The Roseberry-designed neckpiece covered Hadid’d breasts. The golden gilded brass neckpiece is in the shape of the rompe l’œil lungs. This French term in English literally means to “deceive the eye.” The idea is to trick the eye into thinking the object is three-dimensional. The term can be applied in areas such as art, furniture, and walls. Her neckpiece had been adorned with rhinestones.

Hadid has continued to stun during her time at Cannes. On opening night, Hadid attended the Annette premiere. Hadid opted for Jean Paul Gautier’s vintage black and white dress from the Spring Couture 2002 collection. Naomi Campbell famously wore the dress, but Hadid’s had been less revealing.

Hadid took to Instagram simply writing, “a classic” featuring a black heart emoji. To accessorize the look, Hadid added white earrings and a high bun.
