Originally, the show followed ten-year-old Timmy Turner and his misadventures with his fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda. However, Timmy won’t be returning to the series and instead will follow his cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall), and her “new” stepbrother, Roy Ragland (Tyler Wladis), who will have Cosmo and Wanda as their fairy godparents. New characters are joining the show, including Viv’s father, Ty Turner (Ryan-James Hatanaka), and Viv and Roy’s friend Imogen Cohen (Zina Zacarias). Cosmo and Wanda’s voice actors, Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris, are lending their voices again.

Moreover, the show will be a hybrid, with the fairies being animated and the characters are real-life people. The series executive producer and showrunner is Christopher J. Nowak, and show creator Butch Hartman is returning as producers along with newcomers Samantha Martin and Freid Seibert.

“Fairly Oddparents” is one of many shos returning for a reboot. ICarly, Sex and the City, and Gossip Girl are among the shows to be revived. There are rumors of other Nickelodeon shows to be re-launch but have not been confirmed to be true.

All thirteen episodes of season one will air on the same day on Paramount+. The official release date is unknown. In 2011, the live-action movie A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! Fans can stream the movie on Amazon Prime and the original Fairly Oddparents on Paramount+.
