After eight long years, the legendary boy band Big Time Rush is making a musical comeback with two special performances in late 2021. Fans, who go by the name of Rushers, couldn’t be more thrilled to see the quartet returning to the big stage.
Pop-group Big Time Rush (BTR) officially announced they are back in business. With a hiatus of eight years, the surprising news seemed almost unbelievable.

“BIG TIME RUSH LIVE!” the group began in all-caps under their latest Instagram post. “WE ARE BACK! It’s been a minute, but we couldn’t be more excited to see you! Let’s make up for lost time.” More specific details follow the written message, listing the notable performance dates as December 15 December 18, in Chicago and New York.
Members Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos Pena first rose to fame under the 2009 Nickelodeon TV series Big Time Rush. The boys would later become an official group after releasing their three studio albums between 2010 and 2013. Arguably the most popular song released by BTR is their timeless track “Boyfriend.” As seen below, the shameless single remains infectious and loveable. Fans wait enthusiastically to see if BTR will perform such memorable pieces like “Boyfriend.”
Recently, Big Time Rush held a virtual reunion to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of another one of their popular hits, “Worldwide.” As a generous gift to Rushers, an acoustic style of the single was also uploaded to Youtube. Be sure to check out the new version here.
Tickets for the two concerts go on sale Friday, but luckily BTR arranged convenient presale access for fans. Until more Big Time Rush news is shared, fans refresh Ticketmaster browsers and send support through social media. The music world is ready for this new era Big Time Rush.
