On July 18, superstars Billie Eilish and Finneas dropped an acoustic live performance video of their most recent song, “Your Power.” The clip begins in a dimly lit room as Eilish’s signature hums are heard softly. The artists are seen rocking neutral-colored fits, giving off that charming, minimalistic vibe.

“Try not to abuse your power,” Elish starts the chorus with Finneas adding background vocals. “I know we didn’t choose to change / You might not wanna lose your power / But havin’ it’s so strange.”

As demonstrated in the intricate lyrics, “Your Power” is a direct message to an abusively powerful individual who hasn’t understood the extent to which their actions harm others. The deep single is said to be featured on Eilish’s upcoming album, Happier Than Ever.

In a passionate Instagram post, Eilish dives deeper into the importance of “Your Power.” She explains in the caption: “This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. I feel very vulnerable putting this one out because I hold it so close to my heart. This is about many different situations that we’ve all either witnessed or experienced. I hope this can inspire change. Try not to abuse your power.”

Happier Than Ever will be released on July 30. Until more music news is heard regarding Billie and Finneas, fans can pre-save her new album here.
