Natti Natasha, Brray, and Nio Garcia Drop New Single ‘Philliecito’
Natti Natasha has dropped her latest Latin-inspired single “Philliecito” on Wednesday, July 21, with artists Brray and Nio Garcia. Summer just got a whole lot hotter with the combination of amazing vocals and beats.
The Dominican singer has been teasing fans all week about her upcoming single on Instagram, while also serving up new looks. The singer is shown showing off her new lime-green hair along with a matching green ensemble. Cover art and video clips have been released on Instagram to hype up the song’s release.
Presented by Pina Records, this new song is more of a celebration and ode to 4:20. According to a Spanish newsletter TeleHit, the title of the new single refers to “a marijuana cigarette made from the tobacco leaf.. [and] is usually an invitation to smoke in Latin colloquial language.” The singer’s hair change was done purposely to follow the context behind the song. The song was also released on July 21 specifically at 4:20 pm hinting at the song’s meaning.
Since the video’s release on YouTube, the four-minute song has reached over 850,000 views and almost 100,000 likes. Each of the three artists is seen with their own verse integrating different musical styles and vocals.
Fans tweeted lots of high praise and love for the song upon hearing the announcement and watching the official music video.
