In addition, Britney wants to sue her father for conservator abuse. Britney’s medical team agreed to remove Jamie for Britney’s “emotional well-being.” Little by little, Britney is gaining huge victories

Britney was placed under conservatorship after suffering a mental breakdown in 2008. For thirteen years, Jamie has been in charge of Brtiney’s 60 million dollar estate and received most of her concerts’ profits. Every month since 2009, Jamie allegedly paid himself $16,000 and his daughter $14,000. Moreover, Jamie receives an additional $2,000 for expenses. Britney’s 2011 Femme Fatale tour generated roughly 2.1 million dollars, and Jamie gained $500,000 of it. Recently, Britney vowed never to perform until Jamie is removed. This was just the tip of the iceberg.

Court documents have been released describing Britney’s abuse. The singer’s mother, Lynne, has been involved with the case since 2018 and witnessed the abuse. Her mother alleged that Jamie hired a “sports enhancement doctor” to treat her daughter, prescribing “inappropriate medications.” Additionally, Jamie had “micro-control” over Britney through “threats” and “coercion” and would have Britney’s medical aides and household staff “report back to him.”

Supporters hope Britney gains the freedom she deserves and that replacing Jamie is the first step. According to Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart, there is a glimmer of hope of Jamie being proven guilty of “misfeasance or malfeasance.” A hearing is set for September 29, 2021, which will determine Jamie’s removal.
