Billie Eilish Delivers Touching Performance of New Song ‘Male Fantasy’
Billie Eilish is back with another stunning Vevo performance—this time singing one of her new tracks, “Male Fantasy.” Between Eilish dropping her latest album, preparing a cinematic masterpiece, and sharing gorgeous music videos, fans are thrilled with the recent splurge of content.
On August 3, famed singer-songwriter Billie Eilish released an official live performance video for her hit song “Male Fantasy.” The clip begins with Eilish’s signature breathy notes as she sits comfortably in a classically designed bedroom set. In another corner of the room, viewers can see brother and co-producer Finneas playing guitar to accompany Billie’s beautiful voice.

With her adorable plaid skirt fanned out on the golden sheets, Eilish sings the chorus: “’Cause I loved you then, and I love you now / And I don’t know how / ‘Cause it’s hard to know when nobody else comes ’round / If I’m getting over you / We’re just pretending to be alright, convince myself I hate you.”
Seen in the full version of the lyrics, “Male Fantasy” is a reflection on two failed relationships—one with a best friend and the other with a lover. However, Eilish explains how she’s unable to get over such connections. At the end of the day, “Male Fantasy” actually serves as a love song—the vocalist still immensely caring for these individuals despite their dismantled associations.
In the meantime, the Grammy winner remains busy with her upcoming film Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles. The movie is said to honor her hometown and latest album, Happier Than Ever, which dropped on July 30. With exclusive guest appearances and fun concert-like performances, fans will not want to miss its September 3 premiere on Disney+.
Until Eilish shocks us with her next project, be sure to check out the “Male Fantasy” Vevo performance above.
