‘Grace and Frankie’ Surprises Fans with Early Release of Four New Episodes
Netflix hit Grace and Frankie released the first four episodes of its final season on Friday. It was a great surprise for fans of the show, who weren’t expecting a Season 7 premiere until 2022.

This is the first batch of new Grace and Frankie episodes in over 19 months. Production for season 7 shut down in March 2020 due to COVID guidelines. But four episodes had already been filmed, allowing for an early release.
The final season calls for 16 episodes total, which means we’ll be getting many more in the coming months. With episodes like “The Roomies” and “The Circumcision,” stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are sure to bring the laughs.

“We missed you,” Tomlin shares in a video. “But more important, we know you’ve missed us.”
Fonda interjects with an “announcement” that they are still filming the seventh season. Then the two bicker like their onscreen counterparts, concluding with the exciting news of new episodes.
“We just wanted to give you something special until we finish the rest of the season,” Fonda explains.

Season 6 ended with a big change for Grace and Frankie after Frankie remarried. The new season is expected to cover that and much more. Fans are taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the surprise release.
