Alessia Cara Announces New Game Show ‘Get Them Back or Get Them Back’
Alessia Cara has excitedly revealed her new game show, Get Them Back or Get Them Back. The game show is presented by Shapeshifter Studios, a name that should sound familiar to fans as Cara recently released two singles: “Sweet Dream” and “Shapeshifter.”
“Shapeshifter,” the second single from her latest music, features Cara portraying various roles. The first character she teased had been Inga Pomodoro: The Wife. She then teased Theodore Pomodoro, Inga’s husband. Other characters would include Melba D’Angelo, Anita Agosti, and Timea Flores.
The music video premiered on July 23. On August 3, the “Stay” singer shared a “Shapeshifter” character breakdown, proving to be helpful for fans. Cara begins with Inga, the wife, who is a wealthy businesswoman. Inga spots her husband, Theodore, cheating on her. In “Shapeshifter,” Cara reveals that Inga has her “Italian fury” coming out in this song.
Inga’s husband is involved in “shady business,” so she hires Melba, the private investigator, to find out more about Theodore’s shady dealings. Anita is the maid of the estate, who Cara thinks is bitter over the whole situation. Finally, there is Timea, the family gardener. She is in charge of keeping the outside of the house looking beautiful, but she certainly knows more than the family thinks.
Cara has also shared a game show titled, Get Them Back or Get Them Back through these creative and colorful stories. In the game show, Cara invents another persona: Gianna Vitale, or Nina for short. The first episode features Gianna giving “love and life questions, completely unqualified.” Fans are loving the game show, demanding Cara receive her own talk show given her humor and fun.
Alessia Cara continues to create interesting narratives while also keeping it fun. Her visuals so far are nothing short of impressive, and fans are eager for what is next.
