‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s’ Stephanie Beatriz Is Now a New Mom
Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz and husband Brad Hoss welcome their first child to the world, confirming the news on Sunday, August 22 via Instagram. In the post, Beatriz poses in the back of her car with her newborn daughter, Rosaline.
“BÉBÉ HAS ARRIVED in style (and more importantly SAFETY) in @nuna_usa’s Pipa car seat,” she begins, looking content. She then continues to talk about how astonished she is with the whole process. “I’m very, very in awe of the entire experience of having a kiddo. It is INCREDIBLE and HARD AF and BEAUTIFUL and EMOTIONAL, and I can’t remember ever being this amazed and feeling so overwhelmingly full of gratitude. Roz, you are so cool.”
Perhaps the most notable part of the post is the second line where Beatriz reveals, “Her name is Rosaline: pronounced Roz-uh-line.” Naturally, fans of the show were pleasantly surprised at the homage paid to Beatriz’s character, Rosa. In fact, they couldn’t be taking it better.

However, this isn’t the first time Beatriz has taken an extra step to call back to her character on the show. On her wedding day, the actress also decided to pay tribute to her badass female persona, and she did it in a pretty big way.
In an interview with PEOPLE, she explained how amazed she was when she found a specific floral dress at Grace Loves Grace. “There was a dress I came across called the Rosa. I’m not even kidding you,” Beatriz was ecstatic that it referenced her character so well. She added that as soon as she tried the dress on for the first time, “it was like, oh yeah, this is the one.”
