Following the release of their second full-length album Neo Zone, NCT 127 makes their highly-anticipated return with their third studio album, Sticker. This album marks the K-Pop boy group’s first domestic comeback after a year and four months.

The album not only broke the record for first-day sales for boy group’s on the Hanteo chart, but it is the NCT sub-unit’s first album to sell more than 300,000 copies, following Neo Zone: The Final Round’s sales record of 207,920 copies. The new release also surpassed the sixth-highest first-day sales among K-pop groups to date with a total of 760,902 copies sold on the first day alone.

The new album has a total of 11 songs, with trendy b-side “Lemonade” being promoted through live stages alongside “Sticker.” The title track “Sticker” is a hip-hop dance track with a standout bassline and smooth, rhythmic vocals over a unique flute sample. The song talks about being together with the one they love, “like a sticker,” with a few of the members participating in lyric-writing.

“It’s the first time in almost a year and a half that we’ve come together as NCT 127, so we were excited and nervous for this comeback,” the members revealed. Only adding to these feelings of anticipation and excitement was the success of their previous release, “Kick It.”

NCT 127’s leader, Taeyong, took the time to elaborate. “A lot of people liked ‘Kick It’ from our second album,” going on to explain that “it did so well that we weren’t sure if we could surpass it and put on an even better performance.” Nevertheless, the boys continued to work hard to express their growth and development since then.

And fans around the world have been very receptive to it all.

The success of NCT 127’s latest comeback album is proven not only with their topping of the Hanteo chart but also with the way they ranked first on various album charts, including Synnara Records and Hot Tracks. In addition to this, Sticker ranked first on China’s QQ Music Digital Album Chart, earning a “Platinum” certification for selling more than one million yuan in albums.

Debuting in 2016, NCT 127 recently celebrated their fifth anniversary together, talking about how they have experienced a lot of changes since their first release. Despite this, their relationship with their fans only continues to grow stronger, overflowing with endless respect and care.
