The Fugees are an American hip-hop band formed in the 90s. The trio consists of members Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel. Their band name ‘Fugee’ derives from the shortened word “refugee.” The Fugees were arguably the hottest hip-hop band, producing a string of hits such as “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” “Fu-Gee-La,” and “Ready or Not.”
On September 21, Lauryn Hill shared a throwback photo on Twitter of her beloved band with the words “FUGEES Presents The Score XXV Years Reunion Tour. Hill shared that the reunion will consist of 12 dates, beginning in New York and ending in Ghana. The band will be leaving fans guessing where they will pop up in New York City and Nigeria to play. The tour covers other cities such as Chicago, Oakland, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Newark, and Washington. The band will then move away from The States and head out to Paris, London, Nigeria, and Ghana to end in December.

Her bandmate Jean added: “As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the unheard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.”
