Selena Gomez’s newest show Only Murders in the Building is a huge hit, her makeup line, RARE Beauty, is a success, and she launched her new swimsuit collection ‘Aura’ during the summer. Now she has a new accomplishment to add to her résumé: she has been nominated for a Latin Grammy.

Gomez’s song “De Una Vez” has been nominated for Best Short Form of Music Video Category. Other nominees in the category include “Un Amor Eterno” by Marc Anthony, “Reza Forte” by BaianaSystem featuring BNegão, “Mi Huella” by Fuel Fandango featuring Maria Jose Llergo, and “Visceral” by Fran, Carlos Do Complexo & Bibi Caetano.

“De Una Vez” is a song on Gomez’s first Spanish EP album, Revelación. According to Latest Spotlight Stories on YouTube, the album took ten years to make. From there, Gomez would meet with a Spanish coach every day to make this album, eventually becoming fluent in the language.

The inspiration behind this album was Gomez’s desire to honor her Mexican heritage, being a descendant of Mexican immigrants on her father’s side, and being named after the late singer, Selena Quintanilla. The album is her own personal storybook, telling a tale of her family’s history.

“I wasn’t perfect but I definitely did my best,” She says in the mini YouTube documentary about the album. “Every part of this project was built to be solely a Spanish record.”

The Revelación album is available on all music streaming services. The Latin Grammy Awards air on November 18, at 5 PM Pacific Time.
