Executive producer and host Tyra Banks strutted her stuff in an outfit identical to Spears’ hit, “… Baby One More Time,” and later on changed into an outfit inspired by “I’m a Slave 4 U.” We must confess that these outfits were the talk of the night.

The night was full of performances to Spears’ notorious hits such as “Toxic,” “Oops!... I Did it Again,” “Piece of Me,” “Gimme More,” and many others. The celebrities shared their thoughts and connection to Britney Spears.

Frontrunner and co-host of The Talk Amanda Kloots opened the show with a riveting Cha Cha to “Circus.” She and pro partner Alan Bersten received an 8/10 from all three judges, setting the bar high for the rest of the contestants.

WWE Superstar The Miz reached new heights with his Salsa to “Oops!… I Did it Again.” Fans were impressed with the wrestler’s moves and monumental lifts that left everybody wanting more. The Miz was over the moon to receive a 7/10 from Head Judge Len Goodman, as in his package, he stated how bad he wanted to impress the harsh judge.

Peloton instructor and die-hard Britney Spears fan Cody Rigsby paid tribute to his idol and made history while doing so. Rigsby and his pro partner Cheryl Burke tested positive for COVID early last week, so they were not allowed in the ballroom. For the first time ever, the pair performed virtually, and they performed a Jazz piece to “Gimme More” from their own homes.

Although they went to great lengths to honor the pop icon, the judges were not impressed. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba told the couple, “We have to judge it according to what we have in this ballroom, and did that compare? Not quite.” Their score of 18/30 landed them at the bottom of the leaderboard, but they did not despair as they were saved from elimination.

The night ended with a three-way tie between Amanda Kloots, Jojo Siwa, and Olivia Jade, as they all scored 24/30. Unfortunately, not even a strong Paso Doble to “Stronger” could save Bling Empire star Christine Chiu as she and pro partner Pasha Pashkova were eliminated from the competition.

While Britney Night was thrilling, it’s time for the couples to refocus as they head into a two-night Disney Night event, where they will portray both heroes and villains.

Dancing With the Stars airs on Monday nights at 8/7c on ABC and can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
