This very special event is in partnership with Turner Classic Movies, and is for one-night-only, taking place on December 5. The original telling of It’s A Wonderful Life follows the story of George Bailey (James Stewart) who contemplates ending his life during the Christmas season. As George is about to jump off a bridge, he ends up being rescued by an angel named Clarence (Henry Travers). Clarence shows George how different the town would have been without his good deeds throughout the years. Frank Capra’s masterpiece continues to leave fans emotional after all these years.

Sudeikis and Cheers actor George Wendt, who happen to be real-life nephew and uncle pair, are slated to play George and Uncle Billy.

The virtual event will be supporting the Ed Asner Family Center, a non-profit organization founded by Navah Paskowitz-Asner and Matthew Asner. TEAFC’s mission strives to be “an oasis of wellness, acceptance, and enrichment for those with special needs and their families seeking wholeness in all attitudes of life.”

The virtual event will also honor the wonderful life of Ed Asner. Matthew Asner, Ed’s son, said in a statement, “My father’s passing has left an indescribable hole in my heart. For our annual fundraising gala this year, I want to honor my father’s legacy as both a legendary actor and a staunch advocate for people of all abilities.”

In addition to honoring Ed Asner and the Ed Asner Family Center, the gala will also be honoring Mike Darnell, President of Unscripted and Alternative Television at Warner Brothers, along with his family. The cast will include Darnell’s daughter and Social Director of TEAFC, Chelsea Darnell, autistic actors Spencer Harte and Domonique Brown along with neurodivergent TEAFC members Ryan Booth and Lucas Salusky. Victor Nelli (Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will direct.

For just $25, you can be the person who lends a helping hand this holiday season to those in need. The It’s A Wonderful Life gala will undoubtedly be an unforgettable night. You can secure your tickets to the one-night-only event here.
