Fans Honor Betty White With Animal Charity Challenge
Betty White, a beloved actress, died on December 31. Since her death, social media has created the #BettyWhiteChallenge. This challenge was created to encourage people to donate to an animal shelter or local rescue in Betty White’s name. It is not limited to any specific shelter or rescue. Betty White used her fame and career to always help animals, and this is a way for the public to give back and to help her legacy live on.
Betty was planning a big celebration on her birthday, January 17, as she would have turned 100. She has played many roles throughout her career. One of the biggest shows she was known for was Golden Girls. She was not only known for her legendary acting career, but she was an animal lover who was active in rescue and charitable efforts. White has donated, volunteered, and fundraised for animals. She also served on the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association board of trustees. She also was active with Morris Animal Foundation and sponsored more than 30 health studies to improve animal life.
It is not just those in the United States that are sharing this idea, but also across the world. Many people love this idea of honoring Betty White and helping animals at the same time. Her supporters include Maxwell Caulfield, Gavin Thomas, Good Morning America, and Sarah O’Connell.

Betty White has made a big impact in this world, and even though she is not here with us anymore, her legacy still goes on.
The world looks different now. She was great at defying expectation. She managed to grow very old and somehow, not old enough. We’ll miss you, Betty. Now you know the secret. pic.twitter.com/uevwerjobS
