On January 31, Anitta gave a star-stunning performance of her new hit single, “Boys Don’t Cry” during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Following the release of her latest hit single, “Boys Don’t Cry,” the Brazlian native singer gave an amazing performance on The Tonight Show.
Before dropping her latest album, Girl from Rio, the singer signed with Sony Music with the goal of continuing her Brazilian success in America.

Anitta talked about the motivation behind her determination to succeed in America. The singer said, “Somebody told me that, for Brazilians, it was impossible to […] break out of Brazil, to cross over. And whenever I hear the word ‘impossible,’ I want to go for it.”
The singer also described the thought process and inspiration behind her new single. Anitta also mentioned which movies inspired the music video.
“When I was a teenager, I liked a rock vibe… I loved Panic at the Disco, so that was the reference for the song.” said Anitta. “[For the music video] I just got references from movies I love. Like Runaway Bride, Harry Potter, Beetlejuice.”
