XOXO Gossip Girl Season 2 is in Production
Hello, Upper East Siders! If you’ve been feeling empty without your weekly dose of HBO Max’s Gossip Girl, don’t fret: the show has officially started filming for season 2.
In a tweet sent on February 4, the Gossip Girl account posted a video of a director’s chair with the embroidered words “Gossip Girl,” a quick snippet of a clapperboard marking the beginning of a scene, and white text being typed onto the screen that reads, “Let the games begin. XOXO, Gossip Girl”

Fans of the Gen-Z revamp didn’t hold back their excitement after the news broke, some joking that they want to be cast in the new season.

The reboot of the iconic CW series first premiered on HBO Max in July of 2021 with Kristen Bell returning to her role as the show’s narrator, Gossip Girl. Audiences were introduced to many new faces and blessed with some name drops and cameos of fan favorites throughout the season.
There’s no official word about when the new season will premiere, but it’s predicted to drop around the same time as the first season did. This means we could be seeing all our favorite rich kids on the little screen by the summer, and it’s looking like the new season is bound to be juicier than the last.
