Next in Fashion Returns With New Co-host Gigi Hadid
After originally being canceled after just one season, Netflix is giving Next in Fashion another chance and renewing the reality show, fashion contest for a second season. The series follows 18 talented designers as they compete for a $250,000 prize and a chance to debut their very own designs on luxury fashion destination Net-a-porter.
With guest hosts like Eva Chen, Adriana Lima, Tommy Hilfiger, and more, NIF featured some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. Season one’s co-hosts were just as impressive with Queer Eye’s Tan France and fashion mogul Alexa Chung. However, Chung will not be joining France for the series’ second season. Instead, he will be gaining a new co-host.
And who better to join reality television’s most iconic fashion guru than 26-year-old supermodel Gigi Hadid?

That’s right. Model and mother-of-one @GiGiHadid is joining @TanFrance as co-host for season two of Next in Fashion. The two have already announced the news on Instagram, each tagging each other in the same celebratory post.
“Who would have thought when we met over Facetime 4 years ago (thanks @evachen212) that we’d be hosting NEXT IN FASHION TOGETHER! You read that right! The secret’s out,” the caption reads. “You better get ready, casting is now open at netflixreality.com/NIF @nextinfashion @netflix.”
While fans are incredibly excited about the show’s surprise renewal, many have made it clear that they are going to miss Alexa Chung as co-host.
I love that it’s coming back, but I loved Tan’s chemistry with Alexa Chung

Only time will tell if Hadid will live up to her predecessor. And with no season two release date in sight, it might be a while until we find out. Considering the casting call was released last week, it’s unlikely filming will begin any time soon. But alas, we like to remain optimistic. Here’s to hoping we’ll see the new season by the end of 2022.
