Coach Fall 2022 NYFW Was One for the Books
Coach set the tone for New York Fashion Week 2022 with daily episodes on Instagram, featuring fan favorites like Angus Cloud, Rickey Thompson, and our favorite hot girl Megan Thee Stallion. Each episode has a different theme that highlights each person’s personality and the overall theme of Somewhere in America.
The first episode entitled ‘The Phone Call’ featured Megan Thee Stallion. She was wearing her all-Black leather Coach outfit, with a nice slick back ponytail. The episode was set in a cabin-style bedroom decorated to fit the film’s 70s aesthetic. In the video, she receives a phone call telling her to ask questions. Megan asks the question, “What is your favorite scary movie?” and the person responds, “I’m watching it right now.” The video then ends with suspenseful music.
Ricky Thompson’s video was filmed on the same set, but with a different theme, which was entitled ‘The Crush.’ In the short film, he is obsessed with how good he looks in the mirror. Wearing his Coach jeans and fur jacket, he pranced around the room slowly as the love harmonies played.
These videos and many more were posted to provide a countdown for the runway show. Coach’s Fall 2022, A Horse and Carriage Production, provided an American dream aesthetic while showing the classic Coach purses that made us fall in love from the beginning. Stuart Vevers, the creative director for Coach, imagined the runway show to display ordinary life. The set was not an ordinary runway, but was made of house-like structures and white picket fences as the models walked on the sidewalk. The runway show and Fall 2022 collection showed that the luxury of Coach is made for everyone.

Coach showed its accessibility by having models walking the dog, putting up groceries, and even eavesdropping on neighbors. From the looks, celebrities, and theme, Coach outdid themselves for New York Fashion Week 2022. The best thing about the show is that the purses showcased are affordable and stylish.
