NEON’s The Year of The Everlasting Storm, Premieres at Cannes
Neon premieres The Year of the Everlasting Storm July 14 at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival joining two other of their titles, Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Memoria starring Tilda Swinton and Julia Ducournau’s Titane. Both films will play in Competition.
This love letter to cinema was shot in the US, Iran, Chile, China, and Thailand by seven of the most outstanding directors from around the world including Jafar Panâhi, Anthony Chen, Malik Vitthal, Laura Poitras, Dominga Sotomayor, David Lowery, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. This celebration of life and renewal on-screen was executive produced by Jafar Panâhi, Tom Quinn, and David Kaplan.
NEON has garnered 12 Academy Award nominations, 5 wins, including Best Picture, and has grossed over $150M at the box office.
