Whitney Houston’s New Biopic Poster Is Finally Here
The first round of promotional media is finally here for the highly anticipated Whitney Houston biopic, I Wanna Dance With Somebody. The first poster showcases a stunning photo of Starwars actor Naomi Ackie, who will play the iconic pop singer in the film. The film will premiere on December 21.

The biopic will focus on the life of the late iconic singer Whitney Houston and will take viewers on her trailblazing journey to stardom.

Named after one of Houston’s hit songs, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” the film will be directed by Kasi Lemmons (Eve’s Bayou) and written by Anthony McCarten (Darkest Hour). McCarten will also serve as an executive producer for the biopic, alongside Pat Houston, Clive Davis, Larry Mestel, Denis O’Sullivan, Jeff Kallgheri, Matt Jackson, Molly Smith, Trent, and Thad Luckinbill, Matt Salloway, and Christina Papagjika.
Besides Naomi Ackie, the confirmed cast for the biography includes Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Tamara Tunie (The Devil’s Advocate), Nafessa Williams (Black Lightning), and Clarke Peters (Da 5 Bloods).
