On Wednesday, June 15, Amazon Studios unveiled the first teaser trailer for My Policeman. The film is directed by Michael Grandage (Genius), written by Ron Nyswaner, and based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts. The romantic drama tells a story of “forbidden love and shifting social conventions.” My Policeman follows three young adults– policeman Tom Burgess (Harry Styles), teacher Marion (Emma Corrin), and museum curator Patrick Hazelwood (David Dawson).

The film takes place in Brighton during the 1950s. The “Boyfriends” singer will take on the role of closeted policeman Tom Burgess, who although married to Marion (Corrin), begins a relationship with the museum curator, Patrick (Dawson). The love triangle flashes forward to the 1990s, with an older Tom (Linus Roache), Marion (Gina McKee), and Patrick (Rupert Everett) struggling with deep feelings of longing and regret for their past actions all those years ago.

Styles most recently released his third studio album, Harry’s House, on May 20. The singer is set to begin his second installment of “Love On Tour” in support of the record. His other film credits include Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk (2017) and Olivia Wilde’s highly anticipated psychological drama, Don’t Worry Darling, out on September 23.

We cannot be more excited to see this complicated love story brought to life. My Policeman will arrive in U.S. and U.K. theaters on October 21 and on Prime Video on November 4. Be sure to watch the sultry trailer below.
