Severance Wins Big at This Year’s HCA TV Awards
The hit Apple TV+ series, Severance, won multiple HCA TV Awards during this year’s ceremony on August 14. Since its February release, Severance has grown a mass following and has wowed both fans and critics alike.
Severance and its stars received the following awards from the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA): Best Streaming Series, Drama, Best Writing in a Streaming Series, Drama, Best Directing in a Streaming Series, Drama, Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama, and Best Actress in a Streaming Series, Drama.
In recent months, Apple TV+ has been bettering its content by the day. Severance is one of the streaming service’s series that has garnered a huge audience and positive feedback, perfectly intertwining both drama and comedy (and a bit of sci-fi). The series was released earlier this year, and Apple TV+ users were quickly hooked.
The final episode of Severance is the best episode of television I’ve seen since peak Game of Thrones.

Masterpiece of suspense.
I need season 2.
It’s a drama series unlike any other. The title references an operation called “Severance,” which is the starting point of the show’s plot. Those who volunteer to undergo the operation are doing so to separate their home lives from their work lives – completely. When you go to work, you remember absolutely nothing from your outside life, and when you’re not at work, you remember absolutely nothing about your work life. While not carrying the stress from work back home with you every night may seem like an ideal situation, Severance reveals the problems that the operation can cause.
Apple TV+ announced that Severance was renewed for a second season before the first season’s finale was even wrapped up. Ben Stiller, a star of the show, told fans to get ready for the new season with a reference to the language used in the show.

While we don’t know when the second season will be released, we do know that creating the first and getting it out was quite a lengthy process. Although, the end product will surely be worth the wait. Here at Glitter, we would like to congratulate the cast and writers of Severance on this outstanding achievement, and can’t wait to see what else they will bring to fans’ screens in season two. Until then, fans can stream the first season of Severance on Apple TV+.
It took us a couple of years to make S1. Hope you can hang in!
