Get Ready for Another 104 Days of Summer With New Phineas and Ferb Reboot
Get ready, mom, because Phineas and Ferb are making a comeback. The beloved Disney cartoon featuring two stepbrothers, determined to make every day of their summer vacation the best one yet, is set to return to the small screen soon.
The announcement took place at the Television Critics Association winter press tour by Disney Branded Television. They revealed that the five-time Emmy-winning animated series would receive 40 episodes. As it stands, the 40 episodes will be split into two seasons.
Creator of Phineas and Ferb, Dan Povenmire, struck an overall deal with the network, meaning he will work on the reboot, season 2 of Hamster & Gretel, and develop future live-action projects.
“On behalf of everyone at Disney Television Animation, we’re so pleased to continue our association with Dan and his inspiring creative team ― visionary producers, writers, animators, song composers, and directors who have entertained and connected with generations of viewers,” stated Meredith Roberts, executive vice president, Animation, Disney Branded Television.
As soon as the news broke, fans took to social media to share their excitement and reminisce on some of the best scenes and songs from the series.

As for Povenmire, “It has been the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of Phineas and Ferb…I’m eagerly looking forward to diving back into the show for them and for a whole new generation.”
There is no word yet on a release date or returning cast members other than Vincent Martella, but until then, rewatch all four seasons on Disney+.
