Rihanna Is in Full Glam Teasing Her Super Bowl Halftime Show
Rihanna stands in style during a 30-second trailer revealing she will be performing Apple Music’s first-ever Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.
The star has been on hiatus since releasing her award-winning album ANTI in January 2016. However, last October she dropped a new track, “Lift Me Up,” which was created for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
In Rihanna’s teaser trailer for her upcoming performance, she is revealed under a spotlight accompanied by commentaries from people assuming her music career is done. She follows this by making a “shhh” signal as the chorus of “Needed Me” drops and she begins dancing.
From head to toe, the artist looks like a work of art, wearing geometrically long-styled hair. Green eye makeup compliments her Area yellow fur coat that dropped in the brand’s fall/winter 2022 runway collection. Her black body-con dress matches her patent leather, pointed-toe stilettos. With her biggest announcement in years, fans around the world are excited to see what Rihanna has in store for the Super Bowl. Rumors have spread about seeing a new album soon, and while some think that it may come along with her halftime show, the artist clarifies that this isn’t the case.
In an interview with The Associated Press this past November, Rihanna shares that she felt the Super Bowl announcement would trigger these rumors. While acknowledging that she will likely be working on a new album in the future, this halftime show is her priority. She comments, “Super Bowl is one thing. New music is another thing. Do you hear that, fans?”
