Apple TV has a promising new film in the works. Julianne Moore (Still Alice) and Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) are gearing up to portray mother and daughter.

Apple Original Films has acquired Echo Valley, an upcoming film from a script by Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby. Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore and Emmy-nominated actress Sydney Sweeney are the only confirmed cast members.

Echo Valley will feature Moore as Kate Garrett, a woman who is having a difficult time after a personal tragedy. The film’s premise reveals that she “spends her days boarding and training horses at Echo Valley Farm, twenty-two secluded, picturesque acres in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Late one night, her wayward daughter, ‘Claire’ (Sweeney) arrives at her doorstep, frightened, trembling, and covered in someone else’s blood.”

The film is further described as a “heart-pounding thriller about just how far a mother will go to save her child.” No other casting announcements and plot details have been divulged at this time.

Echo Valley is one of many projects slated for the booked and busy Sydney Sweeney. The actress was cast in the Marvel filmMadame Webb, alongside Dakota Johnson. She is also tackling the queen of the galaxy in the new Barbarella remake, a role that was famously portrayed by Jane Fonda.

More recently, Sweeney is currently filming in Australia for her upcoming rom-com with Glen Powell (Set It Up). There have been several exciting snaps of the duo in character circulating all over the internet.

Moore’s Apple TV film, Sharper, opposite Sebastian Stan, hit streaming last month. Her other film, When You Finish Saving The World, a mother-son dramedy starring Finn Wolfhard, was released in theaters in January.

Echo Valley will undoubtedly take fans on a wild ride with Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney’s incredible acting. Fans can stream Moore in Sharper on Apple TV and Sweeney in Euphoria on HBO Max.
