Sofia Coppola’s Teenage Daughter Posts Viral Video on TikTok
Sofia Coppola’s 16-year-old daughter, Romy Mars, went viral on TikTok for a video of her attempting to make vodka sauce pasta.
Romy Mars is the daughter of famous filmmaker Sofia Coppola and musical star Thomas Mars. Despite her parents’ fame, the teenager has been kept out of the spotlight until now.
In her TikTok, Mars explained that she had been grounded by her A-list parents. In the video, she nonchalantly stated, “I tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland on my dad’s credit card because I wanted to have dinner with my camp friend.”
She shared that she is not allowed to have any public social media accounts, but figured she would break her parent’s rules since she was already in trouble. As she prepped her pasta sauce, Mars talked more about her parents. When discussing their attitudes toward fame, Mars disclosed, “They don’t want me to be a nepotism kid, but TikTok is not gonna make me famous, so it doesn’t really matter.”
While she ranted about being grounded, Mars attempted to distinguish the difference between onions and garlic for her pasta sauce. Mars also introduced her babysitter’s boyfriend, who was standing behind her in the video. After introducing him, Mars joked, “My parents are never home so these are my replacement parents.”
Contrary to her beliefs, the TikTok went viral soon after she posted it, and has since been deleted. However, before it was removed, the video achieved viral status. Many people hailed the video as a cinematic masterpiece, poking fun at the Coppola family’s long history in filmmaking.
Will anything ever again bring me as much joy as Romy Mars’s Tiktok gave me?

Romy Mars could make One From The Heart, but Francis Ford Coppola could never make Helicopter Fiasca feat. Shallot Tiktok

While some found humor in the situation, others worried about the trouble Mars was likely to get into for her TikTok.
Just hoping Romy Mars is doing alright and didn’t get in too much trouble after her TikTok fiasca.

Either way, Romy Mars’ first public post on social media had a seismic impact. The video received a large amount of support online and gained plenty of news coverage. Ultimately, everyone agrees that this is an iconic entrance into the public eye for Mars.
Although she ended the video by telling her viewers to stay tuned for part two, we can’t be sure when the recent social media star will be posting again.
