Liv Tyler Reprises Role for New Film Captain America: New World Order
Liv Tyler is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Armageddon actress is set to be reprising her role as scientist Betty Ross.
Liv Tyler is slated to appear in the upcoming film Captain America: New World Order after a fifteen-year absence. Tyler’s first appearance in the MCU began in The Incredible Hulk (2008). Betty Ross is the daughter of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a role that originated with the late William Hurt in several films. Harrison Ford will now take over the role in the latest installment.
The Incredible Hulk was Marvel Studios’ second feature, released in the summer of 2008. The film featured Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. The actor infamously exited the franchise and was replaced by Mark Ruffalo for The Avengers (2012).

New World Order has a stacked cast. Anthony Mackie embodies the role of Sam Wilson/Captain America. In addition to Harrison Ford, Anthony Mackie, and Liv Tyler, some familiar faces to the Marvel universe will be featured, including Sebastian Stan, Samuel L. Jackson, Emily Vancamp, Danny Ramirez, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson. The ensemble will also feature Shira Haas (Unorthodox) and Xosha Roquemore (The Mindy Project). The film is slated for a May 2024 release.
Julius Onah (Luce) is directing the film from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. Kevin Feige and Nate Moore are producing it.

We are very excited to see Liv Tyler come back to the MCU. Fans have undoubtedly missed her on the silver screen. The actress has appeared in several films such as Empire Records, Stealing Beauty, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Inventing the Abbotts. In 2019, she appeared opposite Brad Pitt in Ad Astra. As well as the drama series 9-1-1-: Lone Star.
The latest Captain America: New World Order will be an action-packed ride. Fans can relive Tyler’s role in the MCU by streaming The Incredible Hulk on Hulu.
