Dylan Mulvaney Returns, Stuns in Fabulous New Photos
After an onslaught of transphobic comments, trans star Dylan Mulvaney returns to the spotlight to open up on her life over a year into transitioning.
Dylan Mulvaney was recently interviewed with Allure magazine, following up on her 365 days of womanhood. Also preceding their interview was a recent controversy, in which Mulvaney partnered with Bud Light to celebrate the completion of her first year since transitioning. The collaboration sparked controversy, as the influencer received many transphobic comments, claiming she was “appropriating womanhood.”
Following the controversy, Mulvaney took a well-needed but brief break from social media. After a few weeks of silence, Mulvaney returned to social media with a life update.
In her update, she shared she would no longer “share everything before [she’s] ready.” She went on to explain that her personality while her personality is flamboyant and feminine but entirely genuine. She concluded her statements by saying that the “people pleaser in [her] has died because there’s clearly no way of pleasing everyone.”
She was supported by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jonathan Van Ness, commenting on her post. “You are wonderful, loved, safe, and protected,” Ocasio-Cortez assured her.
Earlier Sunday, Mulvaney was revealed to be part of Allure‘s annual A-list. In the list, Allure linked an interview with Mulvaney.

In it, Mulvaney delved into the details of her personal life and TikTok career, where she claims to have had a problem with “people pleasing” despite her constant criticism in the public eye. The article reveals that she also struggled with anxiety and work-life balance. “In interviews, Mulvaney is quick to point out her people-pleasing tendencies, which are frequently tested by the nature of her job. Beneath these tendencies runs a current of performance anxiety,” Allure states.
The article also mentioned her constant criticism on TikTok and alluded to the Bud Light controversy. “That her TikTok career coincided with a period of right-wing transphobia has made Mulvaney a target. It also means that all eyes are on her,” Allure writes.
Following the A-list announcement, Mulvaney posted more pictures from the Allure photoshoot on her Instagram. She leans into her personal aesthetic of campy, ’60s-inspired glamour.
“That’s hot,” Paris Hilton commented, showing Mulvaney her love.
Mulvaney remains active on TikTok with an audience of over 10 million.
