Honoring the Life of Bling Empire’s Anna Shay

Beloved Bling Empire star Anna Shay has passed away at 62. According to a statement provided to The Associated Post, the fan-favorite’s cause of death was a stroke.

Anna Shay’s family has released a statement confirming her passing. In response to The Associated Post, the family shared their grief:

“It saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and our own brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away,” the family stated. “Anna taught us many life lessons on how not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten.”

Shay was a popular member of the hit Netflix series Bling Empire. This series showcased the daily lives and conflicts of wealthy Asian elites. The production attracted many fans and was subsequently renewed for three seasons. There has been no announcement regarding a fourth season at the time of writing.

As an heiress born into wealth, Anna Shay provided a unique perspective on the topics discussed in the series, such as money and power. Shay’s one-of-a-kind personality made for many fan-favorite moments and led to some of the production’s most entertaining situations.

Those that worked with Anna Shay loved her as she is receiving compliments and praise from many. Following the news release, several of Shay’s co-stars took to Instagram to pay tribute and express their sadness. Among those that spoke out are Kane Lim and Kelly Mi Li.
