Olivia Rodrigo Announces New Cover of GUTS Album
Olivia Rodrigo is gearing up for the release of her sophomore album, Guts, and she’s just announced an exclusive album cover with Target.
Rodrigo took the world by storm with her debut album Sour. The musical masterpiece shot her straight to stardom and gained the attention of many listeners. Among numerous other achievements and chart placements, Sour won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The success of Sour left fans eagerly awaiting new content. Luckily, Rodrigo ended the anticipation this week. In an Instagram post, she shared that her next album will be released on September 8.
Rodrigo is pictured wearing rings that spell the album’s name, Guts. The post currently sits at nearly 4.5 million likes, with comments from several other musicians. Conan Gray responded to the post with “so proud of u” and “spilling my guts absolutely everywhere.”
Today, Olivia announced the Target exclusive release on her social media platforms. The post reveals a vinyl edition of the album, with an alternative cover and poster included.

The alternative cover maintains the purple color scheme of the initial album photo. The unique magenta vinyl is special for the limited edition release.
While there are no confirmations of the other singles on the album, fans are speculating. There are rumors that Lana Del Rey could feature on Guts after Olivia made an Instagram post quoting Del Rey’s lyrics.
The first single off Rodrigo’s Guts, “Vampire,” will be released on June 30. The music video is directed by Petra Collins. You can see a teaser of the video below.
