Mattel Launches Special Ken-Inspired Hoodie
Mattel has launched a special Ken-inspired hoodie upon the release of the highly anticipated Barbie movie, which is currently in theaters.
Although many are battling the summer heat, fans of the iconic Ken doll are eager to get their hands on the exclusive Ken-inspired hoodie. The hoodie is currently available for pre-order and retails for $60 excluding taxes and shipping costs.
The tie-dye, sherpa hoodie features the phrase “I am Kenough” with a large ‘K’ embroidered in white with red and yellow detailing. In addition, Mattel is also selling a variety of merchandise with the same phrase printed on t-shirts, hats, and mugs.
In fact, the company has an entire section of its website dedicated to the highly anticipated film. Fans can find posters, bags, apparel, dolls, and other merchandise to make their Barbie dreams a reality.

The hoodie and phrase both come directly from the film. A scene depicts Barbie (Margot Robbie) apologizing to Ken (Ryan Gosling) for taking him for granted. In the next scene, Ken is seen wearing the tie-dye hoodie that fans are now looking to purchase.

Barbie has quickly gained popularity since the film’s release on July 21. Director Greta Gerwig has made box office history since the film brought in $155 million in its opening weekend. Fans have been captivated by not only the magenta-colored scenes but also by the storyline, which explores important themes regarding patriarchy, self-worth, and female empowerment.
Since the hoodie is only available for pre-order at the moment, fans will have to wait until September 29 for their orders to ship. However, replicas of the hoodie and other Barbie merchandise are quickly appearing on sites like Etsy and Amazon.
