Angus Cloud Remembered ‘For His Humor, Laughter and Love’ After Sadly Passing Away
Angus Cloud, most well-known for his role as Fezco in HBO’s Euphoria television series, passed away at 25-years-old.
Trigger Warning
It was first reported by TMZ that the Euphoria star sadly passed away on July 31 in Oakland, California. According to the outlet, the Oakland Police Department and Fire Department responded to a 911 call around 11:30 a.m. that day. Angus’ mother, who made the call, stated her son possibly overdosed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The family recently buried Angus’ father in Ireland, and it was disclosed that Angus had been battling with suicidal thoughts since returning to his family’s home in California. The family provided a statement to TMZ:
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
On July 14, Angus dedicated an Instagram post to his father, captioning the photo, “miss u breh.”
The family’s statement continued: “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
Upon hearing the news, the Euphoria Twitter account expressed their condolences for Angus’ family and fondness for the beloved “Fez” actor.

Angus landed his breakout role as Fezco when Euphoria casting director Jennifer Venditti picked him off the Manhattan streets. At the time, he was working at a chicken-and-waffle restaurant, according to IndieWire. He worked alongside an impressive cast, including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney. During the two seasons, Angus embodied a guardian figure and sometimes a drug dealer for Rue Bennett (Zendaya).
Angus advocated for mental health and defended Euphoria when critics blamed the series for glorifying substance abuse and addiction. He promoted the seriousness of drug abuse.
Alongside Euphoria, Angus was known for his role in Your Lucky Day (2010) and his work on two upcoming projects. Release dates for Freaky Tales and an untitled monster thriller from Universal Pictures are yet to be announced.
In respecting their request for privacy during this time, we send love and condolences to Angus’ family.
