Miley Cyrus Teases Unreleased Song ‘Used To Be Young’
Miley Cyrus has been teasing an unreleased song titled “Used To Be Young” for months, and it is rumored to be officially released at the end of September.
Cyrus spoke to British Vogue in May 2023 about an untitled song she wrote acknowledging her younger self. In the interview, she recited some of the lyrics.
“I know I used to be crazy,” she recited. “I know I used to be fun. You say I used to be wild. I say I used to be young.”
The description of the Bangerz (10th Anniversary Edition) vinyl on Cyrus’ website reads, “Reflect back on when Miley Used To Be Young by revisiting the beloved original hits such as ‘Wrecking Ball,’ ‘We Can’t Stop,’ and ‘Adore You.’”
While this isn’t a traditional announcement for a new song, fans believe the word choice, “Used To Be Young,” is more than a mere coincidence.
The capitalized words call more attention to the phrase, which many fans recognized and believe was done on purpose. “Used To Be Young” also is a fitting title for reflecting on the choices of someone’s past.
Cyrus also stated in the Vogue interview that she hopes to release the mysterious song soon. The 10th-anniversary vinyl of Bangerz will be released one month from now on September 29.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, fans have been talking about it on Twitter as if the vinyl description was a definite announcement for the unreleased track. Some fans also speculate that this might be the next single she releases.
One Twitter user, a fan and update account for the popstar amassing over 50,000 followers, posted a picture of the vinyl announcement, underlining “Used To Be Young” in red.
“[Cyrus] Is also teasing the new upcoming song ‘Used To Be Young,’” the Twitter caption stated.
