Maestro New Trailer Unveils Bradley Cooper’s Second Directing Work
On August 15, Netflix released the first trailer to Maestro. The highly anticipated Bradley Cooper biographical romance film follows Cooper’s second directorial effort.
It has been five years since Cooper made his directorial debut and stunned audiences with his remake of A Star is Born. The 2018 film starred Lady Gaga as Ally, and Cooper as Jackson Maine. The supporting cast included Sam Elliott (The Big Lebowski) and Anthony Ramos (In the Heights).

Many fans were left wondering how Cooper would follow up after the massive success of A Star is Born, and the seasoned actor has done it with Maestro.
The film is directed, co-written, and co-produced by Cooper, and will chronicle the life of Leonard Bernstein, including his tumultuous 25-year marriage to Felicia Montealegre.
The composer is most notably known for writing the music for West Side Story and won a whopping 16 Grammy Awards.

Cooper, who is embodying the titular role, will star alongside a stacked cast that includes Carey Mulligan (She Said), Maya Hawke (Asteroid City), Sam Nivola (White Noise), Matt Bomer (Magic Mike), Sarah Silverman (School of Rock), Gideon Glick (Song One), Gabe Fazio (The Good Nurse), Eric Parkinson (The Magic Voyage), William Hill (The Associate), Nick Blaemire (Dash & Lily), Oscar Pavlo (Hustle), Tim Rogan (The Flight Attendant), and Mallory Portnoy (Roger).
Mulligan is cast as Felicia Montealegre, the wife of Bernstein (Bradley Cooper). Hawke and Nivola are the duo’s children, Jamie and Alexander.

In addition to the stellar cast, the film boasts an impressive list of producers. Maestro film producers include Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Fred Berner, Amy Durning, and Kristie Macosko Krieger.
The film’s executive producers are Carla Raij, Josh Singer, Bobby Wilhelm, Weston Middleton, and Tracey Landon. Singer (Spotlight) also co-wrote the screenplay with Cooper. Matthew Libatique (A Star is Born) is the film’s cinematographer.

Maestro will make its debut at the Venice Film Festival in September before releasing in select theaters in November. The film will hit Netflix on December 20.
